Description
Africa House is the exclusive-use villa at Royal Malewane, located in the Thornybush Private Game Reserve on the western border of the Greater Kruger National Park. It sleeps up to twelve guests in six bedrooms. Africa House is the perfect option for a luxury family safari or for a group of friends celebrating a special occasion. Situated away from the main lodge, it is a totally self-contained bush paradise where you can relax in the most opulent and easy-going style. Accommodation at Africa House is spacious and elegant with vibrantly eclectic furnishings. Light floods into the six en-suite bedrooms, each of which enjoys a private outside shower and deck.
Bigger, bolder and brighter than ever, Africa House has been completely refurbished by Liz Biden as the ultimate expression of her eclectic style. Liz Biden has effortlessly created unique and exciting spaces that bring people together and help them connect with the magic of the bushveld. At the heart of the reimagined Africa House, the long room provides a focal point for families and friends to meet, eat, play and relax. Children of all ages are welcome at Africa House, and the villa offers ample space for up to 12 guests.
Guests at Africa House enjoy their own private services which means complete flexibility on your family holiday. Not only will you get your own private chef and housekeeping team, but you’ll have your own dedicated game ranger, tracker and private game drive vehicle.
All rooms are air-conditioned and en-suite with twin vanity cabinets, generous Victorian-style bathtub and walk-in shower. Each room also has its own private deck and outside shower with spectacular views of the bush.
There is an additional guide’s/pilot’s room at Africa House for those accompanied by a private guide, nanny, pilot or photographer.
The guests will be welcomed at Africa House by their personal team of staff and a member of senior management. An informal check-in with a welcome drink is then conducted on the deck overlooking the bush. A safety briefing is then explained before sitting down to a welcome lunch.
In order that smaller groups can enjoy Africa House, we have implemented two rates: 1 – 8 guests (includes one vehicle), 9 – 12 guests (includes two vehicles)
